Applications:
Type THHN/TTHWNTHWN-2 building wire is intended for general purpose applications as defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC). Type THHN/THWN/THWN-2 is permitted for new construction or rewiring for 600-volt applications. For applications requiring Type THHN or THWN-2, the conductor is appropriate for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90?C or not to exceed 75°C in oil or coolants. For applications requiring Type MTW, the conductor is appropriate for use in dry locations at 90°C, or not to exceed 60°C in wet locations or where exposed to oils or coolants

TW/THW/THW-2 Cable
THW wire– Indicates a single conductor having flame-retardant, moisture and heat-resistant thermoplastic insulation. The wire is rated 75°C wet or dry.THW cable and wires are used generally in building wiring, feeder and branch circuits, and internal secondary industrial distribution.
TW wire– Indicates a single conductor having flame-retardant, moisture-resistant thermoplastic insulation. The wire is rated 60°C wet or dry.TW cable and wires are used generally in building wiring, feeder and branch circuits, and internal secondary industrial distribution
TW/THW/THW-2 Cable
Voltage: Rated voltage:600V, test voltage:2000V
Conductor: Silver plated copper/Nickel plated copper
Insulation: polyimide/PTFE/Silicone rubber
Twin and earth cable comprises two individually insulated current carrying conductors and an uninsulated circuit protective conductor. Twin and Earth cable is the most common cable used for domestic wiring today
1mm² 1.5mm² & 2.5mm² which have solid (non-stranded) conductors
4mm², 6mm², 10mm², 16mm² and higher have stranded conductors
1.5mm² is used typically for domestic wiring circuits and 2.5mm² twin and earth is used in domestic power circuits
